I monitor Corpus Christi via internet. I am curious would the Uniden sds200 allow me to receive more police and fire channels or is the system encrypted and what I hear on the Internet is the only transmission voice available. Thank You

Have you tried etched? is your image an actual boot image. If so you load boot image as source file in etched and then it will flash to new sd card. Permissions will not be issues then. Hope this is a fix for you.

Thanks I am hopeful that the fire services may still stay unencrypted but if the police are going over I suspect fire will follow shortly. In SF where I was resident now moving to Texas corpus christi even without some encryption in place they would use cel phones for sensitive communications...

My scanner interest are 95% emergency services and 5% aviation. With more and more police bands going full encryption is a scanner for me going to be of little use. Thanks
