On my BCD325P2 scanner there are 2 rows of numbers one for the SO & GRP, when i program channels in i activate the SO # 5 for the channel i had programed in & the GRP # 5 also turns on & i did not turn on the GRP # 5, why did this happen ?

Got a new BCD325P2 scanner & i have it manually programed, my question is this, witch of these two ( QUICK KEY / STARTUP KEY ) do i use for GRP setting ? & is there a certain way to set it ? Tks Jim

On the BCD396XT / system types = confused Motorola Type II Project 25 Standard Phase I (not Phase II) / what is the difference between the two ?

My question is this : If any County / City goes encrypted then why don't they delete the frequency's that pertain to that encrypted Department ? & take the frequency off the list of Radio Reference ?

If i get a Uniden BCD325P2 to program for my area ( 800MHZ ) & the surrounding area is a 700MHz do i need to get a antenna that will receive 800MHz & 700MHz ?

On my Radio Shack Pro 106 scanner i am getting these flashing letters ( pTCH ) in my display window when ever i get traffic for my LV CO FD / EMS & no other channels, what are these letters for OR what is it telling me ?

A member of my group had the cable i needed & got to reading the info for the computer that the cable will work with & my computer is a windows 10 & my computer won't work with this cable (20-546) .

Thanks for the reply post & no i don't have the USB cable, infact i did not get one when i got my RS scanner some time ago, is it really worth all the trouble to get on & try to see if that will fix my problem ?

The only cables i have is the PC cord & the cloning cable & the scanner has no slot on the radio for any other cable !

OK, thanks for the info on my RS Pro 106, now for the next problem, i have never did ANY Firmware up date & or software programing to a scanner because i have all ways did all by manually programing & i'm afraid that if i did this to my scanner i may burn it up, so what do i do now ?

I have a Radio Shack Pro 106 & last night it worked fine, this morning it will not scan any of the Department's i have programed in it & the WX button don't work either , what happened to my scanner ?

On a Whistler base 1065 scanner when i program a local County group SHERIFF UNIT'S that roam the County, do i turn on the ROAM selection because they do roam all the County or do i leave it off ?
