    SDS200 question

Wow. the Range (and location) can only be seen in the main database (premium subscription not required) i.e. not in Sentinel.

    Best SDS200 Indoor Antenna?

And they do seem to work pretty well indoors. I picked up one from Amazon under the same PN but it is not a Diamond. I will be setting it up in the attic to test things out. Hopefully better reception than in the man cave.

Brand new/kind of confused owner of a sds200

Also to the OP remember the more "sites" you add to your fav lists the more you will miss as the SDS scans all the control channels looking for traffic. The scan takes time. For me I have a SDS100 that travels with me. When used locally I have a fav list that contains the places I am most...

    SDS200 question

That does not work that way. "Range Control" is just what gets loaded. If you define a location and range the unit will load from the full database or fav list only those sites that fall into the range from the set location... i.e. a GPS, LAT/LONG or ZIP (zip goes to the lat/long of city hall...

Sentinel: Saved Profiles are now all the same???

Bet he can guess where I got the idea to do so. :)

    ProScan: SDS200/Proscan IP Issues

Do you have the FTP account enabled on the scanner? If yes get the IP and try to FTP to the scanner from a PowerShell window. Does this work? If this works it is not a Layer 1 thru 3 issue. Something else is wrong. You only have one scanner running under only one instance of ProScan right...

Sentinel: Saved Profiles are now all the same???

I just went through this. In my example I have a SDS200 that stays home and a SDS100 that travels. They have the same fav lists or they did. I have the 200 monitoring the outer LEA stuff with the 100 doing everything LEA local where I am most likely to be. I can simply turn off the fav lists...

Sentinel: Avoids Common in all Favorites Lists?

I must be having a mental moment. Now I know how to use the profiles in Sentinel for custom settings like the screen settings, locations and filters just to name a few things. I understand that favorite lists are common between all profiles where Monitoring and Downloading are controlled per...

    ProScan: Webserver IPv6 support?

I am pretty sure you have said this before. Where is that in the SDS? The only serial port setting I can see is for the port under GPS settings. Is this hard coded for other serial services because that defaults to 4800?

    ProScan: Webserver IPv6 support?

I see a misake in my initial answer... only IPv4 examples not IPv6. Glad ya got things working. I have the 200 and 100... The 200 has an Ethernet port that does make things a tad easier however it is still IPv4 and the 100 has none of that. As you have found it requires the 3.5mm headphones...

cool! TYVM FYI this fixes the settings an audio stuff I was having issues with but the port in use issue remains. that is a Windows and Driver thing as discussed before. Simple to get around.

    ProScan on the PC

So I was adding more remote favorites to my 200 and was trying to fire up logging and recording for an overnight run. Logging worked fine but Recording not so much. I wound up loosing more cool point by reading the manual and as it turns out I was doing nothing wrong. I rebooted the scanner...

    ProScan: Webserver IPv6 support?

I see no mention of IPv6 info in the manual or release notes dating back to ~v17 of @ProScan. I only see IPv6 examples in the manual. It does support DNS though and that is covered in the manual.

HP-1: Home patrol 1 times out while updating the database

joebearcat posted last night the servers would be doing rolling upgrades with intermittent connection issues. wonder if that is your issue. https://forums.radioreference.com/threads/uniden-server-upgrades.448172/

    HP-2: HPII and avoids

Simple solution if you are using Sentinel. Apply the avoids in the master database. I do this for Schools and Courts that had PDs that have talk groups in one of the 3 "law" Service Types. After that I can send Departments/Sites to a fav list and the avoids remain intact. On top of that I do...

SDS100/SDS200: SDS 100 message "Clear User Data"

and FYI do not format the card while it is in the scanner in Mass Storage Mode. I tried this and after 3 hours it was at like 26% complete so I aborted it. I then pulled the card and put it in my laptop. I was done with the full format, clear all data as well as a full database and favorites...

SDS100/SDS200: SDS 100 message "Clear User Data"

The trick to seeing it is ya have to have something watching the port to see it. It will be in the device manager and of course there is ProScan.
