New Format for Phoenix Regional Dispatch Center Active Incidents?

The new incident page doesnt work well with cell phones. Switching to a desktop view is a little better, but still not optimal for viewing on a phone. https://mapportal.phoenix.gov/pfd/apps/dashboards/60bc91a9f225469fb0194b9e9ff623e2 And the Phoenix Incident app doesn't seem to work with it...

    MEDIA Comms

Be sure to check the 455-456 MHz portion of the spectrum as well. Operations in the 450-451 MHz and 455-456 MHz range aren't always repeaters. They may be point-to-point simplex. One very interesting catch I had one year, was at the Glendale Glitter & Glow, when they had the hot air balloons...

Luke AFB Days returns after a 6 year hiatus

A lot of times they won't use the standard ATC frequencies you would listen to on any other given day. Instead, try these: https://www.radioreference.com/db/aid/7836 John Peoria

Luke AFB Days returns after a 6 year hiatus

They've not allowed them in the past at Luke. I would assume it was an oversight, and it would be pointless to argue at the security checkpoint that everyone has to go through. Edit: Ok, from their Facebook page: The Thunderbirds have arrived, and the static displays are in place for the Luke...

    Maricopa County new P25 system

I don't have an issue with the RWC. I'm asking what filter settings work best for the Maricopa County system. John Peoria

    Maricopa County new P25 system

What are your SDS-100/200 filter settings for the Maricopa County trunked system? I'm trying to optimize my reception, as I seem to get too many dropouts, and I thought that a different filter setting may help. I'm particularly interested in the White Tanks site, but would be curious if you have...

    Avondale PD P25 Phase II

Today, (Friday afternoon), I've noticed that Avondale PD is using P25 Phase II. The database is still showing Phase I. I don't know if they are full time Phase II, or if, like Peoria PD, only one particular squad is using Phase II radios. We'll have to pay more attention and see if they stay...

    Juniata Co 46.060 PL?

I think what the OP was getting at, is that there used to be at least 3 counties using the same frequency, and they *may* have been using separate CTCSS to keep the various transmissions separate, so that they end users weren't hearing all of the transmissions from all 3 of the counties, just...

    Juniata Co 46.060 PL?

I was not aware if you had or had not. You did not indicate either way. But, assuming that the database is correct, there is your answer. 46.060 is an Interop patch only, regardless of what the person you are asking for the information for, thinks. John Peoria, AZ

    Juniata Co 46.060 PL?

According to the database, 46.060 is an Interop patch, with no tone. The same with 46.100. 453.4125 (250.3) is their Dispatch channel, with multiple Fire Ops channels in the 453, 458, and 460 ranges. Assuming that the database is correct, Lowband is only for Interop, likely with the other...

    DPS District map

Zoom in. You'll see that Metro West has I-17 from the 101 north to Carefree Highway. The border between Metro West and D12 more or less follows the 23rd Ave alignment between Carefree Highway and approximately 1/2 mile north of the 101 freeway. (Tonopah Ave, I believe.) John Peoria

    Maricopa County new P25 system

I haven't been out to the Burnt Mtn site by the rest area off I-10 in Tonopah in a long while to check on either the Maricopa County or RWC site there. I think we should keep this open to report on changes/updates to the system, rather than have separate threads. John Peoria

Mesa FD RDC now dispatching Fountain Hills and Ft. McDowell FD's.

LA is Light Acuity. It's a 2 person (EMT & Paramedic) unit that responds to minor medical calls, helping to free up the 4 person ALS units (E, L, HR/SQ, MR) for more serious EMS & fire calls. Peoria has one or two. John Peoria
