There are 'division' tacs that are encrypted (NorTac for Northern, CenTac for Central, etc), but the standard tac and City tac channels are in the clear.

Thanks, I couldn't find those with a search. The Miklor PDFs are excellent, and easily printable. I DID manager to suss out a few things overnight by myself, but the full manual really helps.

Does anyone have or know where to get a written (AND large enough to be readable) manual for a Baofeng UV-5R, BF-R3, and TID TD-9GP radios (just operation, I have them programmed)? My eyes aren't what they used to be, and the included instructions just ain't cutting it.

Z10 and Z11 should both have the dispatches, but Z 11 is the north half of the County, Z 10 is South (usually), but there is no actual line you can see or point to for the difference.

Encryption keys are specific to an Agency, and aren't shared (other than in specific cases like ASTREA/ABLE), and can NOT be used on mutual aid channels between Agencies.

The one thing I CAN DO is press the hold button (as all my radios HAVE one) when there is something worth holding on. And I hear more than most. I have several people who have disputed my claims of what I heard until THEY went back and 'checked the tape'.
