I have been picking up both Site 1/1E (Troop K) and Site 1/22 (Colchester) this evening from Chesterfield Fire, in Montville, just down the road from Salem Town Hall, on Route 85 with my Unication G5.

Well, when I get in my truck in the morning for work ... I have a Harris XG-100P, XL-200, Motorola XTS3000, XTL2500, Kenwood VP5000, TK790, TK890, along with a personal Ailince HD1 and Anytone 878 (just because they have batteries that last forever and allow me to monitor and answer two...

    BNC Portable Antenna Suggestions

I use a VHF NMO for the SDS200, it is does very well with the VHF , UHF R1, UHF R2 and 7/800. So I have considered a VHF, as I monitor those four bands all day for work.

    BNC Portable Antenna Suggestions

Anyone have a BNC non-telescoping flexible antenna they really like for the SDS100? I have been using a dual band HYS antenna on my 396xt for years, and its OK, and an 7/800 specific antenna on the SDS100, but I figure there has to be a better antenna option than this. In the truck, I have a...

CLMRN Radio ID Listing Updates And Changes

New London County, off the top of my head, has 15 fire dispatch centers operating. This is not like LCD, which dispatches most of Litchfield County, or QV that dispatches all of Windham County. I am sure I am missing some, but: Valley Shore QV East Lyme Montville Waterford New London Groton...

CLMRN Radio ID Listing Updates And Changes

When you say a "regional dispatch center", keep in mind that QV dispatches at least 7 fire departments in New London County. That is also not a "countywide" dispatch.

CLMRN Radio ID Listing Updates And Changes

GFA is a regional dispatch center, however it is in no way a Countywide Fire Dispatch. GFA is not rebroadcasting as a countywide dispatch, only for GFA. GFA serves Groton and North Stonington. The Subbase has its own dispatch, but also operates as needed on GFA. EB Fire and Pfizer Fire have...

CLMRN Radio ID Listing Updates And Changes

I can say with 100% certainty, as a member of the New London County Fire Chief's Association ESF-2 Working Communications Group, and as the person who authored the finalized DEMHS Region 4A channel plan for New London County, that there is no New London Countywide Fire Dispatch. There is no...
