    System requirements

I run 4 instances of RadioFeed (ProScan) on a 10+ year old thin client without any issue. I also have a PC with an AMD E-240 APU that works OK. Windows takes awhile to boot (even with an SSD) but once Windows loads, the feeds run fine. A VM would work OK if you're able to mount the sound...

how long does it usually take to get a feed approved?

If you provide enough details in your application it should be approved within a day. My last approval was less than 24 hours. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

    best Windows OS for feed

The software is lightweight so anything should be fine. I would go with 10 so you have the newest OS and Microsoft will provide updates for the longest. I have an old XP Embedded thin client but I'm moving to a Win 7 computer. It's an older computer that 10 wouldn't run great on. Sent from...

    audio3 outage - 12/8/2016

My feeds are run off an HP thin client and I have the write filter enabled. Anytime I reboot, it reverts back to original config. I only reboot it once a year and I haven't updated the config in at least 3 years. Next time I reboot, it's going to revert back to RR domain name and I'll need to...

    audio3 outage - 12/8/2016

Try pinging audio3.broadcastify.com. my feed was pointed to radioreference. I did a auto configuration again, it went to broadcastify and then connected ok. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

    Thin Clients and Audio Tags

It really is like any PC except there is a write filter. Disable the filter and install your software. Once everything is how you like it, re enable write filter. Everytime you reboot it will clear any changes and you will have it back to known working config. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337...

    Uniden BCT15/996 Receive Sensitivity

I'm sure this has been covered somewhere but my search skills came up with no results... I am a Uniden Fan. I have a 996XT, 396t, 396xt (2) bct15s and a bct15x. I have the 996XT, (2) BCT15s and the BCT15x hooked up to a DA being fed by a ST-2 antenna. The BCT15s are all used for online...

    ProClip and BCD396xt

Thanks for the reply. Perhaps "phase 2" of this project will be the horizontal extension and the Button Belt Clip holder. Then I can have my cell and the scanner mounted. Any idea how fast they ship? I ordered on Wednesday but I haven't seen any other emails with a tracking number...

    ProClip and BCD396xt

I'm a little short on time (want to have this installed for a trip next week) so I ordered the Mid Size universal. It might be a tad bit wide for the BCD396 but I figure I can make it fit with some padding. Since the scanner won't be in there full time, the mount is sized to hold my Galaxy...

    ProClip and BCD396xt

Decided to put a scanner in my car. I think I'm going to use a ProClip. They sure are expensive but it seems like the way to go. Do you think this would work for a BCD396xt? It looks like the "sliver" button on the scanner would slide right in that groove. Universal Holder (Stick-on...

    Tolland Fire Change to 33.86

I see the database has been updated showing Tolland moving from 33.44 to 33.86. 154.74 shows that it is crossbanded to their UHF frequency. I would have guessed it was x-banded to 33.86. Anyone able to confirm? I assume they have this setup so their VHF minitors can be used to monitor...

    Ford Escape 2012

Great install. Just a question/comment... Along with your main circuit breaker, do you have fuses on the power leads for each radio or scanner? Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe a breaker can be too slow to "react" to protect electronics. The fuses on the power cords would offer the...

Thin client vs mini tower for scanner feed & home listening

Thin client should work if all you plan to do is stream the feeds and listen to the feeds. To view the tags, you'd probably want to run proscan. Remember thin client is not designed to have all kinds of software installed on it. A mini tower is just a small PC with full blown OS. Thin...
