I got tired of maintaining the feed, so I stopped. Last I heard, the county should be moving to the new P25 system anytime now. I can't recall discussions of any departments going encrypted at this time, but who knows.

In my opinion, the first test with a new, or used, radio should always be NOAA weather frequencies. I can't think of a scanner model off the top of my head that wouldn't receive these simple FM/Analog signals. If you can't hear one, start checking your antenna and/or change your physical...

For home you can always use a scanner app on your phone/tablet or listen right from the Broadcastify.com web page. I provide the feed for that & it includes Swainsboro PD Dispatch. It’s delayed by about 2 mins due to feed processing in the Broadcastify network, but it’s free.

Just noticed that you said that you could hear them up until a month ago. They have been on NXDN since last summer. Not sure how you were hearing them. I must admit that I don't listen to them often, so now I need to do a little monitoring to make sure they haven't gone encrypted.

I beleive they are all capable of receiving NXDN, but you have to purchase a separate software feature license for each radio from Uniden. Basically, you register the radio with Uniden, click the option to purchase the NXDN license, then enter the activation code that you get into your radio...

When they first went digital I was searching for them too. The screenshot below is from when I first found them. I know it says 155.0200, but that's where it first picked up while scanning.

I am the Broadcastify feed provider for Emanuel county, and Swainsboro PD is on 155.0175 MHz. If you don't have a NXDN scanner/radio you won't hear them. If you have access to a spectrum analyzer (SDR) you will see activity on that frequency. Check out digitalfrequencysearch.com and search...

They aren't on SEAGRN. Swainsboro PD uses a single site NXDN system. Can't remember the freq right off though.

Yes.....if you look back through the thread I'm pretty sure I posted license & transmitter location information a while back. There are 4 sites throughout the county for this new system.
