West Siloam Springs New Radio System

Thanks for the suggestion. Finally got around to doing this and DSD+ shows CC14, TG 100 on TS1. Frequency still 460.55 / 465.55. Have submitted to RR for update...

West Siloam Springs New Radio System

This is probably a long shot but... anyone know anything about West Siloam Springs PD's new radio system? It's obviously digital. FCC ULS has the emissions as 11K2F3E, 7K06FXD, 7K06FXE. I think the last two may be typos as 7K60FXD, E are MotoTrbo. I don't have a scanner that will monitor...

I received two of them a couple of weeks ago that I ordered months ago. Figured maybe someone else had ordered some during the same timeframe. Really inexpensive feed computer if I can get it to work...

    Next Thing Company C.H.I.P.

Just for clarification... what works? I'm specifically asking about the CHIP computer. I've used Darkice with ubuntu on a pc in the past which worked well. I'm hoping to find someone who's actually using the CHIP to feed audio. My understanding is CHIP uses a stripped down version of debian.

Trouble-Wagoner Oklahoma County Public Safety scanner

On the feed's page there's a button that say "report a problem". That will be your best option. They may not have listened to their own feed for a while and might not know...

Am now able to hear them on my ft-1900 using a 2m vertical mounted in the attic. Signal was only S5 using this setup so no way to hear them using a handheld with rubber duck at my location in Siloam Springs. I scanned through all pl tones including 118.8 several times but none were triggered.

    Two feeds through Nicecast

OK. One feed and listener adjusts balance to choose what to listen to... Kind of inconvenient if the listener is listening to music or something else at the same time.

    Trouble with Nicecast Login

I left the account line blank on the server information window and just used the password and was able to log back in. Not sure why it logged in before with my feed id entered as the account but now logs in without it??? Oh well. The feed's back on line.

    Trouble with Nicecast Login

I've had my feed up and running through Nicecast but once disconnected Nicecast gives a "Error: Login failed" message and won't reconnect for an as yet undetermined period. Anyone else having this problem with Nicecast or know anything else I can try?
