    Agree with the others, much chatter on the railroad channels. In the NW Ohio area Channels 08,12, 35, 46, 50, 64, 74, 76, 84, 94 are all particularly busy channels. Or there are several railroad audio feeds available to listen to as well.

    Yes that is correct, 159.180 monitors 69-FIRE, 69-EMS, 69-OPS 1, and 69-OPS 2. This is a one-way patch from MARCS to this VHF channel.

    Question about Motorola Public Safety Radios

    CDM / HT Pro-Series Radios Just FYI: The CDM1550 and HT1250 VHF and UHF are narrowband capable, just reprogram them. But, as others have stated...they do work well for amateur use. I too keep a couple in each band around for such use.

    Hancock County Update

    Update on install timing... The County did not have to jump on the installers, the County FD's just recently turned in the required paperwork for inventory and contracts with the county. Installers were not to turn any radios out to the FDs until the County gave the blessing to do so.
