    BCD536HP/PT nxdn decoding issues.

This is an IDAS system, not OFT. Should be programmed as a trunked, not OFT, system.

    Wishing you the best UpMan

Thanks for the well-wishes. My surgery is tomorrow (5/20), so medical leave starts now. See you in a month or so.

    P25P2 second NAC?

If the RRDB NAC does not match received NAC: NAC xxxh --> xxxh (FLASHING) (first xxxh is incorrect NAC, 2nd is received NAC)

    Programming

It would help if you would include more details in your post. One critical missing detail is what model of scanner you have.

Just tried "ID search" for first time, wow!

The SDS100 has a built-in mode to assist with this. Run Trunked Discovery mode with compare to database turned on. The scanner will only stop on TGs that are not already programmed for the system and will record audio of these unknown TGs for later review.

Questions on the Uniden BC75XLT power supply

Headphone jack is only going to be able to drive headphones/earbuds. For an external speaker, you need to use an amplified speaker (as you found). Not sure on the audio. I can't be sure from your description what is connected to what.

BCD396T/BC996T: Upload Issue With Freescan or BCD396T

I looked at the image. Actually, I did one better and logged in as you. Clicked on "Register a Product." Selected "Radio Scanners." Selected "BCD396T". Then I stopped and backed out of all that as I don't know your scanner's details.

BCD396T/BC996T: Upload Issue With Freescan or BCD396T

Click on "Register a Product" in the right panel. That link is definitely there, as you showed it in the picture you posted in Post 19.

BCD396T/BC996T: Upload Issue With Freescan or BCD396T

When registering, after you select "Radio Scanners" the page reloads and prompts you to select the model to register. If you are not looking closely, it could look like the page just reset, but there is a new prompt there.

    BCD536HP Scan Mode Display

Also, when scanning a trunked system, if the scanner has not stopped on a channel, it is not on any particular department.

SDS200 Remote Head currently being tested by Uniden Beta Testers???

Can't say whether we are working on a remote head or not, but can say that no beta testing is being done for a remote head at this time. Not sure what Larry was seeing...

    With all the new updates

Threshold depends on the specific system. There is no universal best setting (but AUTO works in most cases, so is the closest you can get to that. Hold time depends on your own preference. I leave it at 0.

    BCD536HP

For a trunked system, going to 1 second won't shorten the dwell time. It takes about 1.5 seconds to receive a complete cycle of data from the control channel. The scanner will always check at least one full cycle, so if it takes longer than 1 second, but the scanner is set to 1 second, it will...

    Catch Me While You Can

Looks like within a week or two I'll have a medical procedure that could take me offline for up to 3 months. During that time, I won't be checking RadioReference (or work email, for that matter). That said, there are very few questions asked here that truly require my direct response. There are...

Just tried "ID search" for first time, wow!

If you are scanning from a FL and wanting to use ID Search to find previously unidentified TGs, be sure your FL includes all the TGs from RRDB. If you only copied over TGs of interest to your FL, then all others will be considered "unidentified" since they are not in your FL, but will inr eality...

    FTP sds200

For some reason, FileZilla opens up multiple sessions for writing. The SDS200 only allows one ftp session at a time. I just use Windows Explorer to move files to the card (or simple command-line ftp).

    SDS200 likes or dislikes

It doesn't set the volume at power-on. It sets the volume after writing from the PC. On power-on, it sets the volume to whatever the physical volume control is set to.

    Multiple profiles on 436?

A profile defines all the settings for the scanner in Sentinel. "Profile" has no meaning in the scanner itself. It gets what has been written to it...
