I have a Radio Shack Discone (model 20-043) connected to my BCD996PS and BC780XLT using 125' of LMR-400 Coax and have no issues with Starcomm.

To add to the other posts, ISP D-2 and D-15 are also in the clear and the HP-2 should be able to receive both talk-groups.

While I was listening to my Home Patrol-II I noticed that talk group 13004 appeared on the scanner. Normally, I would not think twice about it however Springfield is a long way from McHenry County. I just found this interesting, and I was curious if anyone else experienced this?

As of today, 1/16/13 at 1400 hrs the McHenry County Sheriff's Office will initiate encryption upon their radio communications.

While running the scanner today, I logged a wildcard talk group of 32900 and a UID of i6000004. I looked over the Starcom information and I was unable to locate this talk group. The log also showed that this was off of the Lake County Tower
