It appears that after owning the SDS100 for just shy of two years, I am plagued with the cold solder joint issue. What is the best way to contact Uniden for repair? How long does the turnaround process take and how expensive is the repair?

I had thought of something kind of like this before. Only I thought about putting a rubber ducky, or other antenna at the end of the arm to see if it could be used as a "directional duck" so the dish would reflect more signal to the antenna, I have an old dish laying around but never got...

You can set the light to ignore the first button push. The radio will turn on the light regardless of what button you push and completely skip whatever function that button does. Not sure right off had where it is in the manual but it is very handy for night time use.

Any new info about this scanner? I see the Pro-160 has cleared the FCC, which is the base/mobile version on the Pro-162, or at least from my understanding. I have been looking forward to this radio since before Christmas. Anyone know anything?:confused:
