    Park City Ham Repeaters

I found it here on RR: Summit County, Utah (UT) Amateur Radio 447.500 442.500 NZ6Z RM Park City Quarry Park City (Quarry Mtn) FM Ham I am about 2mi away and should easily be able to hit it. I can see the antennas on the mountain. Must be a depreciated listing.

I was hoping that wasn't the case. I found that list and the Quarry Peak repeater isn't on it. Thank you though for your quick response.

    Park City Ham Repeaters

I found a ham repeater that is supposed to be on Quarry Pk in Park City ("PC") but can't connect, despite being in sight, a mile or so away. Anyone know of any repeaters in Park City that are operational?

NorthCom using VHF instead of RCS

Yeah, if you don't train it often you forget, and you'll be fumbling around like a fool when the $h!t hits the fan.

    Encinitas frequency

I understand Encinitas Lifeguards (FD) have LFG 3 channel, that is not on RCS and I presume is either simplex or a local repeater. Anyone have any details on this channel/frequency(ies)?

    Tahoe amateur repeaters

Thanks all. I've locked down repeaters for Heavenly (mostly TARA), but as you note, local knowledge is still superior to the mega listings on the internet. Still trying to confirm which repeaters near Northstar are on air and their range.

San Diego / Imperial Co Regional Communications System Update Thread

Your radio will definitely work. I just downloaded the programming into Freescan via Radioreference . But you have to have a premium membership for that.

    NorthComm on 151.040

That looks like a strike team configuration, with 1 chief and 5 engines. They are from North County fire (117), Vista (123,124,126) and Escondido (134). Likely traveling to support one of the fires. CalFire frequencies are in the 151.xxx range, but not sure about the particular frequency

no coverage for FD from basement

Yes. It's always good to have smart radio people in the FD who are constantly thinking of these issues, and not relying on a single turnkey solution.

no coverage for FD from basement

Nor can anyone assure you that a simplex channel will get through in all situations/conditions either. Especially in a basement x-ray room surrounded by shielded walls, 2 stories down.

May Day May Day Fire Fighter Down

I agree it was likely a mistake. Working fire or major incident would not be on 3C.

    Northcomm 3a

Northcom 3A is constantly keyed up for me right now. I'm hearing chirps, as well as hearing rsf patrol dispatch on it. Regular fire dispatches are going out however. Anyone else having issues?

New x36HP f/w available for SD patch fix

Paul, I always thought the scanner would figure it out (fast enough), but may depend on other factors. I presume you are saying that the setting can be made talkgroup-by-talkgroup? I'll check out my settings later. Thanks again.

New x36HP f/w available for SD patch fix

Anderegg, Not sure if this is directed at me, or if 396xt is considered a "x36HP", scanner, but I don't think so. But, can you elaborate as to the settings issues you refer to ("all) for the 396xt? Thanks
