    The use of 243 (guard)

Yes, in our NAS, this is for sure. Multicasting is about the best way to describe it. Think one controller watching 3 different sectors, each sector having 2 different low enroute frequencies, one high enroute and one ultra high enroute. So for low you have 2 different vhf/uhf pairs, high has a...

    What is this?

nd5y, getting my black circles confused. Buffalo 122.3 is just an RCO. The 2 brain cells were thinking there was an unlisted way to determine an RCAG location on a chart.

BOBRR, AM for everything you listed. Why would you knowingly listen to an ATIS? Ok, ok but only if its Art Bell's voice.

    ATC Antennas

dlwtrunked, all the pictures you linked to are probably FAA sites. For AM, you will never see co-located utilities, well you shouldn't except for ads-b/c, most of the time, maybe, depends... ctadam12, RTR's, RCAG's, RCO's BUEC's pretty much all look the same. RTR's are usually on the airport...

    The use of 243 (guard)

The NAS currently has no systems that can cross connect frequencies. Nav Canada does. I do believe the DoD uses the same system that Nav Canada does. So, if you are near a DoD RTR or RCAG running 121.5 and 243.000 that would be my best guess.

    Airspace cross-coupling

I believe that is specific to NavCanada. The NVS, IVSR and STVS do not have those capabilities. It is being worked on for the next voice switch system to be deployed along with climax.

Yes sir, I understand what you are saying. I'm having a hard time trying to understand how vinyl is slowing down an electromagnetic wave. Is the vinyl doped with some type of metal powder? Lauri?
