Preble County (68) radio code ID needed.

Preble County uses the Buckeye State Sheriff Association (BSSA) codes. It looks like 48C may be something new and possibly a code for some sort of sexual offense, as 48A and 48B point to a sexual offense. https://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/Buckeye_State_Sheriffs_Association_(BSSA)_(OH)

    PSR-800 USB Port Replacement

Has anyone tried replacing the USB port on a PSR-800? My cable end fits, but there is a lot of wiggle to it and not enough to power the unit on. I was wondering it replacing it in the radio is feasible with something more hardy. I know it is also a data port, but that is secondary to me.

    Washington Township Fire Dispatch

RDC is the County Fire Dispatch, but they do not dispatch for every department, the Wiki shows a list of who dispatches for who. The RDC is located on the old Mound Laboratories site in Miamisburg. I'm sure the WTFD TG is still there, and maintained as a back-up talkgroup. If you look at the...

    News Media Helicopters

No local news/media outlets use helicopters anymore. At one time, WHIO Ch. 7 Dayton had Chopper 7 and WCPO Ch. 9 Cincinnati had Chopper 9, but they got rid of them years ago as the technology changed. As was stated earlier most use drones now. 700 AM WLW also stopped using a traffic copter quite...

You can purchase tickets in advance from the website: Home - Hamvention Or wait and purchase at the door where they will run a bit more. As for exhibits, that is a matter of taste. You will want to meander through the major manufacturers' booths (Yaesu, Kenwood, Icom). Then you have the...
