It also appears the old 800MHz Type II system is now off air as the new system is using the same frequencies as the old system.
I noticed today that when my WS-1088 is plugged into some USB power sources (particularly relatively cheap DC lighter plugs) that my reception quality is significantly affected as if I have the attenuator set to on. Can anybody recommend a decent quality DC USB power source that has worked well...
In the past I've heard all fire/ems traffic on SFD Ch. 1 TG 496 on Springfield TRS. ISP fairgrounds and America Ambulance units are given city radios during the fair

I run APRS on my Yaesu FTM400DR. I have it set to where every incoming beacon interrupts the frequency display and displays the beacon information for 5 seconds, however I notice that not every beacon will interrupt the frequency display, but it will show up on the station list. Has...
Do you know what time this may have been? I have I-REACH on my fire feed and can hear Morgan County Dispatch from my feed location if they broadcasted it.
Good evening all
I'm on the fence of purchasing a WS1088 scanner. I currently have a PSR-500. Besides the phase 2 capabilities, the USB connection, and the additional scan lists, are there any more added benefits to the WS1088?
Thanks,
Craig

I was just curious if anybody was successful in using the 2 tone decode feature on the radio. I used the guide on Miklor to help set up some 2 tone decoding, but have been unsuccessful in getting it to work. Not sure if it's a lack of programming something or some other problem.
Thanks in...

Good morning, can someone tell me if an HYT TM800 is front panel programmable? Thanks
That frequency will most likely be the new repeater out for fire/EMS dispatch in Christian County. The Sharpsburg site is probably one of many receive sites scattered throughout the county to help weak radio signals get to the repeater.
Does anybody know whether or not there is there a NAC associated with any of these frequencies (table taken from CARMA Starcom Radio Profile)
Thanks
Several frequencies have been assigned to StarCom21 radios. These are installed in both repeater (+30 MHz. offset) and direct modes,
and all are...
