    I haven't experienced this problem on my F-150. What gauge wire are you using and what are you attaching it to? Might be the the multiple radios are pulling too much for the wiring. I used large gauge wire (don't remember size off hand) and went from the battery to a RIGrunner distribution panel...

    If you have the super cab there is a grommet in the floor under the rear passenger seat. In my case it was under the AC inverter.

    I'm thinking it may not be the scanner. I have been noticing that on FM in my truck driving around town. May be problems with dynamic ad insertion on their end.

    So I did a thing..

    Just be glad you don't drive an F150. Then you would get crap about aluminum fatigue and dissimilar metals. Sometimes you just can't win. ;0) For years I used a glass mount for my ham antenna. Funny thing is I never had anyone I was talking to ever mention it. Enjoy.
