OP25 listen to conventional single transmitter

Just a quick note. I installed 64 bit PiOS (Raspbian) on a RPi 4 and then added OP25. Simply made sure everything was up to date and then ran the install script. No errors, plugged in the RTL and rebooted. Worked like a champ first time run. (rx.py)

That fixed it. I assume you don't need to see the output. Thanks!

OP25 listen to conventional single transmitter

    I did a pull this morning. I received the one file changed (trunking.py) and replaced it in my working directory. I am still seeing the error/warning: zingman@odroidxu4:/opt/op25/apps$ sudo ./rx.py --args 'rtl' -N 'LNA:47' -S 1008000 -x 2 -f 441.9875e6 -o 5000 -l http:0.0.0.0:8645 -v 12 Using...

OP25 listen to conventional single transmitter

So, I'm up and running. Thanks to Bills example, I have a working json file using my RTL-SDR. I believe I have the tuning dialed in. To help anyone reading this later here is my json and command line: { "channels": [ { "device": "RTL-SDR", "demod_type": "cqpsk"...

OP25 listen to conventional single transmitter

Graham, I'm in no hurry and since you and Bill both recommend that I use multi_rx.py, that is what I'm doing. I see the value in the json over the command line so I will be using Bills post as a template as well as the included examples and doc. I will of course be willing to test changes you...

OP25 listen to conventional single transmitter

Bill, Thank you very much! As you can guess, I'm learning OP25. I'll have to read up on the differences between rx.py and multi_rx.py. As it happens, I also have a AirSpy so I may just drop it in for my first test. I like the output you posted. I'll give it a try in the morning and report...

OP25 listen to conventional single transmitter

I have OP25 setup on an Odroid XU4. Seems to be working great. I am interested in looking at the data from a Motorola Quantar transmitter. No trunking no encryption. NX-5300 call list question

I'll start with I'm new to this radio but not to programmable radios. I have a NX-5300 I am using in Amateur service. I have conventional DMR and P25 installed. In the P25 mode, if I press the menu, then select call, then select group, I am presented with a list of the Talk Groups I have...
