I've found on my sds200, turning the control clockwise numerous times then counter clockwise numerous times every once in awhile, keeps it going. I don't use it much and I think that burnishes the contacts and keeps them from corroding from lack of use. I do the same thing to all of my stereo...

I'm still testing between Wide Invert and off. Not a lot of difference between the two. Overall, it's better with the latest Firmwares.

I've always got my Whistler going at the same time my sds200 is running so if one stops I check the other one.

I had to get a booster for our T-mobile service. Without the booster we get 1 bar if we're lucky. With the booster most of the time we get full 5 bars. I don't have internet. I use my Hotspot for browsing the net. and updating my Sentinel database. For $100.00 the booster is well worth the money.

So far, my p25-p1 seems to have clearer modulation. The analog is clearer also, with a lot less static with the transmissions. I'm going to load up my DMR and NXDN to checkout.

Is that an XBOX the scanner is sitting on top of? I get that same sound if I lay my cell phone on top of my Whistler WS1065 scanner.

From my limited experience, I have better luck programming with Proscan than I do with Sentinel. Especially DMR & NXDN.

I have had nothing but trouble with FedEx. And the thing is they don't get in any trouble for what they do. I call and get someone I can't even understand. They tell me wait 3 days and contact shipper for reimbursement. As long as FedEx doesn't have to make it good they don't care.

Ok Thanks, I haven't been hooking up my scanner. Just writing to the sd cards and Sentinel has been giving a drop down box. The drop down gives selections for sds100 or 200. Sure didn't expect so many thumbs down though over a simple question wow LOL! I'll keep close track on the files for sure...

The 100 and 200 use the same Firmware. You just select which one you have at the time of upgrade correct?

Yep, different locations can require different filter settings.

I would for sure, try to find a schematic unless you can clearly see what traces are damaged. Continuity tests also, can be of help it you have a meter.

After the latest update, I had to change the filters. I found normal filter to perform the best now, instead of wide invert. My squelch seems the loosest when set to normal filter and squelch at 2. So the filters may, be worth re- investigating.

I installed the Waterfall now, to figure out exactly how to use it. LOL!

Yes I used to replace those diodes on cb radios and sometimes the audio chip had to be replaced at the same time.

I know the feeling I'm pushing the big 70 and lots of health problems.
