    MRRS System (MTA PD)

From all my experience, scanners really do struggle with this p25 simulcast distortion so bad that I immediately appreciated the difference with the Unications.

    MRRS System (MTA PD)

I can't speak with any authority on it but the best I can tell, the new p25 county system was only really built with FD / EMS in mind just to replace their old system. The greater portion of the police agencies were mostly using VHF (except the cities) and most agencies had each other's...

    MRRS System (MTA PD)

I know there's a lot of mixed sentiment regarding local agencies switching over to this system but I really do think the County missed a golden opportunity to build out a countywide Law Enforcement trunked system

    MRRS System (MTA PD)

We were allowed to borrow the pair of radios for a month and I believe the talk group showed up as a radio tech talk group. Since I was the basically the one administering the tests at my job, I did it whenever it was convenient for me so don't be surprised if its at random times of the day or...

    MRRS System (MTA PD)

I work for a police agency in Westchester. We did pretty extensive testing with a set of loaner radios from MTA. If it wasn't for the price tag, we would have been migrating over. (I say this with neither support or rejection of the idea)

    Dead Ht750.. anyone want it?

I rolled the dice and bought a lowband ht750 off of marketplace for $50. The seller didn't really have any info and I decided to give it a shot. It arrived and is seemingly broken after trying a few different batteries on it. Wanted to see if anyone had any ideas what it could be, otherwise...

Putnam county uhf fire dispatch link

Use the link that Putnam Valley FD has.. I find that it has pretty decent coverage. I wish someone would put up a link to mobile freq but I don't believe there is one

    General Electric equivalent of Plectron

For the life of me, I can't remember what the name of the GE old school alert receivers were called.. They had QC tone boards that fire stations and volunteers used to use for receiving alerts.. pretty much the equivalent of Plectron

Difference between Hex and Decimal ID

While we're on this topic, is there a way to log ID's while monitoring a system like the way it's done using something like ProScan ? It's kind of a pain doing it by hand, I saw a screenshot of it being done somehow but didn't know if that went away with a previous version of PPS

Difference between Hex and Decimal ID

Thank you. I just didn't want to start inputting them under the alias tab as Hex format if they are in Dec format. I read somewhere on here that hex format would be 6 digits but that doesn't appear to be the case
