BCD396T/BC996T: Need to connect anteena before turing on

I thought it was on page 42 as well but I could not re-find it today. Thanks to your post I see I have two different pdfs for the 396T; only one has the "om" in the title. I was thinking I had just remembered wrong. Thank you very much for your outstanding program ProScan, I use it every day...

BCD396T/BC996T: Need to connect anteena before turing on

On Page 9 of the 396t pdf Manual it says: "Note: Make sure the scanner's antenna is connected before you turn it on." Is this to protect thr RF front end? Anyone know if this is necessary for the scanners of today?

Sentinel: Sentinel & MS Ease of Access High Contrast

At the top of your picutre you will see an oval with a large black dot inside to the left, (followed by the word OFF. It is the fifth line down from the top. You slide that black dot to the right and it will turn on the high contrast. Hope this helps.

Sentinel: Sentinel & MS Ease of Access High Contrast

Sorry, Windows 10 24H2. I hope this means there is a possibility that the problem is at my end and therefore addressable. However, I will not know until some else beside me tries it out. Thanks, for the help.

Sentinel: Sentinel & MS Ease of Access High Contrast

Hi Dave - do you mean with or without the high Contrast?

Sentinel: Sentinel & MS Ease of Access High Contrast

Sentinel is only partially compatible with the high contrast display setting (black background & white fonts) found in “ease of access” in Windows. Almost all fonts in Sentinel’s directories & subdirectories remain black therefore, with the background now black they are invisible. If you would...

poplar bluff city police on 155.55 mhz again?

I guess will have to wait and see if "digital" also means ENC. When they first ENCed someone (I think in St. Louis County) said they were not suprised because of what happened south of here. Anyone know what this is about?

butler co. fire frequency still 154.445?

Good News! Butler County Fire is still on 154.445 with a PL tone of 167.9Hz (same as before). It you do not use the PL tone you will get a lot of skip and static. This morning at 7:41AM I heard BCFD tone out for a couple of grass fires. The signal was very strong (-50 RSSI) and did not vary...

butler co. fire frequency still 154.445?

Still no luck on MOSWIN but when I removed the PL tone value (from 154.445) and picked Tone Search instead I started picking up a female computer dispatch voice giving calls out. I think this may be skip as it varied from -117 to -60 RSSI in signal strengh. I will know better tomorrow as I only...

butler co. fire frequency still 154.445?

Today I did not find any new Butler County TGs on MOSWIN from 7:00AM to 8:30PM. I will try again tomorrow & will add the Dexter 700 Tower to Poplar Bluff & Bloomfield Towers. I did find a new Wayne County TG (7705) but I have not yet determined what service it is. I only got one 3 second hit...

Poplar Bluff city police frequency change?

Thanks for posting this! It seems they have done a pretty good job of addressing the noise problem.

Poplar Bluff city police frequency change?

Please disregard it has just been posted on RR database. I am surprised at fire departments switching to digital communication formats since it has problems with high noise environments, unless they have found some way of handling this problem that I do not know about.

Poplar Bluff city police frequency change?

Is Poplar Bluff PD P25 & DMR 100% ENCRY now? In monitoring 151.0475 MHz on both P25 & DMR I see the ENCRY, Link, D error & Noise readouts changing BUT the RSSI readout remains three dashes. It should be -50db from my location. Anyone else seeing this?

    2021 MOSWIN Sites/Talkgroups

Today I noticed while monitoring 158.835 MHz for a longer time than normal that I was not picking up both sides of the conversation all the time and it was always the mobiles that were missing. However, the dispatcher did not complain that they could not hear them. I also noticed a much...

    2021 MOSWIN Sites/Talkgroups

Yes, today I let Pro96com run for about 9 hours and found exactly what RR database showed for the Poplar Bluff Tower which does not include 158.835 MHz At first I thought 158.835 MHz was an input frequency for Butler County to MOSWIN because it was so weak (RSSI between -79 & -117). Butler...

    2021 MOSWIN Sites/Talkgroups

A New Butler County P25 Frequency was recently listed on RR.Com as158.835 MHz Conventional P25. I found it has a NAC of 1C8, which is the same as the NAC used by the counties with TGs on MOSWIN. I cannot find this frequency on any of the local MOSWIN towers (Poplar Bluff, Bloomfield...

Poplar Bluff city police frequency change?

In looking at the new Poplar Bluff PD's data I think I see a couple of mistakes, but this is guess work and may be totally wrong. 1. P25 is digital only but the listed PL tone of 107.2 is for analog use only (mentioned in one of my previous posts) therefore it must be a typo / mistake. I...
