Sounds like you are lucky. My TRX1 had no sound at all. Ext speaker nothing. No beeps, nothing. It scanned and stopped on TG fine. I sent it to Whistler and they replaced "Antenna Module". Not sure how it was an issue, but I have never seen schematic for trx.
