Omega-TI, I have had to deal with the same issues every time I have tried to contribute anything to this site. It appears that no submission is ever good enough, even though nothing is there to begin with. There are a few frequencies I have that are not on your list, and a few listed I do not...

Help Needed, What radio do I have?

Judging by the features, it is not a CB radio but a HAM radio. I would guess maybe Galaxy, Connex, or something along those lines. you could always take the cover off and see what the name is on the inside.

    BCD325P2 / BCD996P2 Update 1.07.09

I think we have a $400 paperweight. It's a real shame you spend that much money on a scanner and support stops within a year or two of release. I guess we're just not important enough because we bought an "entry level" scanner.

    Roll Call

Bryan Mossyrock, Wa I have been into radios and electronics since the mid 70's. BCD996P2 now, but still have a PRO-2006 and a PRO-95 still in use for my area. They are all much easier to use than the old 16 channel crystal Realistic Patrolman in storage. SDR set-up is great for finding new stuff...

    Reception for aviation bands

I was referring to you asking what systems used that 3.125mHz split. Those would be NXDN and IDAS. I have not listened to the airband that much. Sorry for any confusion.

    Reception for aviation bands

I have found that there many NXDN systems that are using the 3.125 splits, along with some IDAS sites.

    Reception for aviation bands

Overwrite this to the SDRSharp.EXE config file. It will give the extra step sizes (Aviation, NXDN). It's easy to add extra step sizes Also, you can edit the Band Plan to Step Size 8330 for the desired frequencies.. <add key="stepSizes" value="1 Hz,10 Hz,100 Hz,500 Hz,1 kHz,2.5 kHz,3.125 kHz,5...

DSD+ or SDR# Equivilent Software For Android

I have used a regular RTL dongle attached to a USB On The Go cable with the SDR Touch app for android. The whole combination works OK if you just want to listen to NFM,WFM, AM, SSB, but there is no digital signal decoding(eg. DMR, NXDN, etc.). It will drain the battery fairly quickly, but it is...

This is a good example of a bad entry

First time trying to edit a WIKI page. Thanks for throwing me under the bus. It appeared the links were working, and I thought I had supplied some useful information. I'll remember never to do that again.

    Western Oregon NXDN

I updated your channel map with some of the ones I have found. I have also updated some of the info in the WIKI related to this system.

    GQRX and WXtoIMG

I have used that program with SDR#, but not GQRX. It appears by the screenshot that the volume is way to low, it should be about 70%-80% and a green bar to decode. It might also be that the recording was low quality. There is somewhat of a tutorial with the program, but vague on how to really...

    OP25 VirtualBox Project - Run OP25 on Windows 7

Try the instructions that are outlined on this page, they worked for me. If you don't want to experiment with the newer rx.py you can skip the "git max", "git pull" lines and load the older scope.py instead. Hope this helps. InstallInstructionsPage

    DSD+ Need help:

In the screenshot, the bandwidth is wide, and I believe Correct IQ should be checked. It also does not show any valid signal in the waterfall for DSD to decode. What antenna are you using? Is the SDR PPM set?

    Old Tacoma Analog System

I hear TPD, TFD, and Lakewood on Site 1. I hear Puyallup, Sumner, Bonney Lake on Site 2. So maybe you can consider them dead since the do not carry 500+ calls an hour, but it is still active to those of us who monitor the small towns we live in/near.

    Puyallup police not coming in

What are you using to monitor them? I am able to hear them on my 996P2 and Unitrunker fine. I have not experienced any issues with either in the last few months.

I am able to monitor it from South Prairie. I am able to hear just about all of Western Washington from here. I get from Bellingham to Longview to Aberdeen.
