Any updates on McPherson Co system? I was up there about a month ago and tried to decode any control channel I could find, but the only thing that would decode was KSICS.

I'm told LE is mostly encrypted. Fire and EMS mostly not encrypted.

Has anyone been able to track down the license for the new system? I can't find anything and they are set to go live pretty soon.

Ive been told by a member of the department that all Manhattan Fire operations talk groups are encrypted. The initial alarm dispatch will be in the clear. The talk group name that is in the clear is COMTAC. There will be an official Broadcastify feed of this TG provided by the dept.

It sounds like Wellington Fire in Sumner Co has brought their NXDN equip online. Has anyone tried to monitor this new repeater yet? Unfortunately, I don't have a NXDN capable radio. (yet)

Put them in at the beginning of the COVID19 quarantines etc and haven’t heard a single thing in Wichita. Might be more activity in Topeka or KC areas, but nothing here.

There are 74 possible control channels in use across the state including COW.

I've been told by a user that the SDS200 works very well in SG CO. The others, in my experience, do not.

Motorola will not sell any upgrades on the XTS5000 because it is EOL. I tried to buy one two weeks ago and was told "sorry." You'll have to look for other "options."
