Lately I have monitored both fire dispatch on the old frequencies and they fall back. The tornado on Denzer Rd somehow effected communications even though the tornado was nowhere near the tower. Its nice to not hear those dying distorted page tones on dispatch on old analog frequencies

Not here. State units used to have 102 inch whips on their crusiers. Between the skip noise and aggravation from base stations it was pretty much deemed self defeating. Once they trunked,that was that.
