I have reached out to Rafael Diniz, current maintainer of Darkice, to see if there are compatibly issues with Darkice 1.3 and a RaspberryPi 3B+ running Raspbian Stretch. I will update this thread if I hear anything.

Has anyone been able to setup Darkice to stream scanner audio on the latest Raspbian version 9 (Stretch)? As I understand, Darkice does not need to be compiled as it already natively supports mp3 encoding. Any help is appreciated.

What is your assigned hostname for your feed? Make sure it matches the entry in your configuration. I had a legacy hostname assigned (audio3.radioreference.com) and after this outage, I noticed that it had been updated to (audio3.broadcastify.com). Once I updated my configuration file...

It seems as if they changed the domain (radioreference --> broadcastify) at some point. This caused me an extra 3-4 hours of downtime

I would love to see a status dashboard for feed providers detailing the health of all pertinent backend servers (i.e., audio1, audio2, audio3.radioreference.com,...). Today's (12/8/2016) audio3 outage was not clearly evident and I found out after emailing the good administrator team.

My feeds in Berkeley, California (Berkeley Police and Fire and UC Berkeley Police) show green but they don't play audio. I suspect there may be an issue with Broadcastify's streaming service.
