I agree. If not a new, stronger clip then another option is to slightly reduce the size of the battery. EDIT: Actually it might require sanding the clip or the door so there is less tension.

It took mine only a few weeks to fail, not a year. Also the Lithium Ion battery says 'Made in China'. Not a good choice for quality stuff.

The manual is a brief summary of some of the functions. It doesn't even have an index! That makes it very hard to find things. If it was a well written comprehensive manual with an index and examples, then there would be a lot fewer questions. If someone asks a question about the SDS100/200...

Sometimes it sounds like they are talking with their noses pinched. Or talking through a tube. Often takes a lot of concentration to understand. I guess the selling point of digital is that they can compress speech and get 2 transmissions at the same time on the same frequency.

I don't think digital improves audio. Sometimes it is unintelligible. But I don't hear static in digital, just distorted speech. It seems to be all or nothing when it comes to reception.

The manual would really benefit from examples or step by step tutorials. Right now its just an incomplete summary of some of the functions. It leaves a lot to guesswork.

I think the lack of transparency by Uniden is making this issue worse. Many potential SDS200 purchases are on hold! If I was in charge of Uniden I would recall all defective units in the supply chain, fix them, and then publicly announce that the problem is resolved.

Tried another cable with the Uniden charger and also another charger. Same thing - red/green. I sent a message to Uniden support and I look forward to getting a replacement battery.

I'm using the Uniden supplied cable and charger. I will try another cable. If it still has the problem then I will message you with the requested info.
