    AES Keyloading

So going back to part of the original question is if I have the code, whether memorized written down scratched on a wall…does anyone have the step by step instructions of how to get that from the encryption software into the pager

2 Tone alerting does not always alert

Are u talking about scanning on the conventional side? If so then yes if the pager is receiving another TX on a different conventional channel other than ur dispatch channel u could completely miss the page. On the trunking side as long as ur dispatch TG is the priority then u should not miss...

    Forgotten password workaround

Ok so it’s pretty much send it back to unication, I figured as much and that’s probably how it should be or anyone could just change the password… thank you

    Forgotten password workaround

Is there a way to default a pager or any other way to get around a programming password (I know it would defeat the purpose) our I am responding pager is not accepting the password that was used for all our pagers, we have tried a few others with no success

Somerset County 700 P25 Expansion and Changes

Just out of curiosity now I’ll have to see if the APXs show up with the old 5 digit ID, because if something is using those it is probably more than likely it’s the moto not the harris

Somerset County 700 P25 Expansion and Changes

I believe the apx identifies with a 1210xxx and it is U/7/8 Out 3 engine and ladder mobiles are triband and out of the 7 portables (not counting the M) one of them is also triband, all the rest of the apparatus portables are single 7/800 the rescue as well as all station radios are single 7/800...

    Possible PPS bugs

Agreed the secondary band antennas are horrible I get it’s a secondary band but both are more than likely being used give us something a little better. Our second band is VHF which we had to use while county was working on our 7/800 tones and it was borderline useless

    Possible PPS bugs

Sounds like a temp fix if u have no other choice, but unication needs to address this since none of our pagers ever went out of range like this before, and the ones that I have reprogrammed in the last few days with the 3.xx PPS are back to not having any issues. I’ll just stay with 1.33...

2 Tone alerting does not always alert

It depends on the settings of the tones being sent, how long tone A and B are if they are different from the default times. We have been using QCII over trunking for about 4 years and not counting a dispatch issue when we switch from PD dispatch to county dispatch we have only had a few...

    Possible PPS bugs

I guess what I’m getting at is I can’t take the profile on the pager and work on it with the older PPS since it was programmed by 4.xx I can rewrite a profile on 3.xx and then program the pager More so it sounds like the 4.xx PPS needs some work

    Possible PPS bugs

Exactly and after posting that I tried a few other things and found that out so I was agreeing with u And I said exactly what happened actually that I tried reading a pager with 1.35 with 3.16 and it said invalid..that is what happened
  14. mdsxfire

    Possible PPS bugs

No apparently once u program a pager with 4.xx u can’t go back and program it with 3.xx

    Possible PPS bugs

that’s just great. We literally just went through a **** show for 3 months with our dispatch and pager activation issues we reprogram to address it and these bugs pop up, thankfully I programmed one company with the 3.16 and they had zero issues

    Possible PPS bugs

I tried reading a pager with F/w 1.35 on it with PPS 3.16.29e and it told me it was an invalid unnipps file

    Possible PPS bugs

On a side note is there any way to downgrade from 1.35 to 1.33
  18. mdsxfire

    Possible PPS bugs

Amazing glad to confirm my suspicions since that’s literally all it could be, also glad we didn’t upgrade to 1.35 F/W since once u do u can no longer us the older PPS..I’m good with staying 1.34 and 3.16

Somerset County 700 P25 Expansion and Changes

So probably a dumb question but has every tower with site 4 on it had these new radios added for the frequencies and just as dumb if none of the new frequencies are used as CC I’m guessing no work has to be done to radios in the wild

    Possible PPS bugs

We had to do an entire dept pager reprogram due to a dispatch issue. The only thing that was changed was the timing of our A and B tones, so the pagers were read tone length changed and then reprogrammed. I did one company with PPS 3.16.29e and another person did the other companies with one...
