That's up to you. It's going to be a few weeks after I get the chips before I will be able to work through my backlog, so if you want to hold on to your scanner until I've made a dent in it, that is totally understandable.

I can report some progress. Reyax has agreed to send me a batch of the flash chips whose absence are causing the problem. Instead of mailing the modules to Taiwan and getting them mailed back, I can install the chips on modules as I get customer warranty returns, and do a quicker turnaround...

As far as I can tell, it is the exact same hardware as the Uniden puck, the only difference being the brand sticker. It's GPS only and uses the GP talker ID, so it doesn't trigger the bug.

All versions of firmware for the SDS, x36, HomePatrol and x96 models are affected. My guess is the NMEA sentence parsing firmware code was written incorrectly for the x96 family, and then copied over to the other model families when they were developed and introduced. But Uniden-branded pucks...

Yeah no. Tweak the center tuning frequency (middle of the waterfall display) up a few KHz. If the signal shifts to the left like everything else, it's not an image. If it shifts to the right, as if it's moving to a new frequency, it's an image. It takes maybe 2 seconds per frequency to test.

Not true. If you manually change the tuned frequency, the signal will move in the opposite direction of an actual signal if it's an image.

Like I said, I can't replicate the error on my SDS100 or SDS200. Are you pressing Func and Dept simultaneously, or Func, then Dept?
