Just to update everyone, Still down as of 2:23pm EST. No response from Broadcastify Ticket other then the auto-reply of "has been received and is being reviewed by our support staff." at 7am this morning... Hopefully they get it figured out soon!

sounds like ems dispatch is now using digital voice on the 700/800 system now, not just patching the audio from the vhf side.

i do not know much about that scanner... but ill ask a few generic questions,, Did you program in all control channels associated with system id 227? did you program in the talk group id's you want to monitor? TGID 430, 431, 432, 433, etc.. when it scans, does it show a signal strength bar...

i programmed all control channels into one site, and am using manual 6. seems to work well.

Yes Gates EMS and one of the P's on the east side have UID's on the new system. it looks like this morning all traffic went to phase 1 again. Hopefully it stays that way!

Gates Ambulance is one of the sites that everyone is going to to have the radios installed. so that would explain that. should be an interesting transition. I know my agency is keeping the VHF radios in service in our vehicles.

Honestly, It is hit and miss. When i lock onto only the east tower it sounds a little better. It is very choppy or garbled. Sometimes it wont even pick up the transmission i hear on the VHF side. That is for both phase 1 and 2. I have my scanner hooked into a 1/4 wave VHF antenna on my roof...

The county...well Harris is doing the installs for EMS. County wants them all on the system by the end of January.

I will admit I am a newbie when it comes to digital trunking. We work with conventional analog currently. This potential transition to 700/800 phase 2 is opening my world to an entire new beast. I am pretty familiar with Motorola CPS. Let me read up on these articles and reply back shortly...

If this system is only on phase 1 currently, would I be able to program a motorols xts 700/800 to receive this system? Anyone know about these radios? What features would I need enabled? I am thinking I would only need Q806: ASTRO IMBE Digital Operation Q361: ASTRO 25 9600 Baud Trunking
