I had the same issue when making a system in Sentinel Software. I went back in and in the options tab, changed Location Control to NO. reloaded and the favorites worked.

On the BCD785D had issues. on the GRE500 no issues, BCD436HP no isues

Yes most of the talk groups are digital. I also opened up the ID search and heard some analog talk groups that sounded good as well.

I updated the firmware and have NO issues with the reception listening to a Motorola Type II SmartZone Omnilink Analog and APCO-25 Common Air Interface system.

I have the sound output on the scanner going to the input on sound card. i am compressing the audio at 32.02 kbs mono .Via Windows Media Encoder 7.1. Most live scanners I have heard try to save bandwidth and compress at 19 kbs. And volume is set to 11 0'clock on my live scanner..
