    Hackensack NJ Fire

Maybe it was never 532 and was always 565?

    Hackensack NJ Fire

I haven’t heard any ops/Resp/fg traffic on it since I started listening to it. It’s strictly just paging and dispatch but only consistent listening will tell further.

    Hackensack NJ Fire

Not a new frequency, but change of DPL. It simulcasts paging tones and the console dispatch.

NJ UASI NJUTAC44 & NJUTAC47 recent unusual activity

Yup. I’ve been hearing open carrier, random key ups, as well as an ear piercing hiss (not like a 1k testing tone from a monitor), mostly hearing it in upper Passaic county. I’ve noticed it most on 44 and 46.

Why can't I hear individual units but dispatch fine?

I don’t have an answer for you but I do agree there is a noticeably lower volume on the audio coming from the rigs and the portables, the desk key-ups are significantly louder. “411 to CPA!!”. For what’s it’s worth, I hear the voter closing out on the repeater so I’m hard guessing the audio...

Agreed, making an estimation of a “dead spot” using a scanner vs a subscriber radio are two totally different beasts.

Bergen County NJ P25 System Frequencies by Town?

I heard goosetown testing last week and assumed they were trying to rectify the interference on PD 1. Thank you radiochief55 for the info sir!

Sds200 programming for Essex County NJ

Very highly unlikely you’re going to hear any/most traffic from Newark in Bergenfield. Newark FD radios don’t normally affiliate to either of the NJICS sites near you.

    State Police Radio Zones

Hoping any of our "go-to" NJICS guys can answer a question........ Do you guys know if the state police have their radios set up with the old A1/A4, B2/B5, C3/C6 zones since the 4.1 system began being decommissioned? Are their channels still labeled A1-02, B2-02, etc or was there a complete...

    Hillsdale DPW

He is asking about Hillsdale, not Hillside. OP: The last time I observed their comms they were using PASCOM 1 with the 100.0 PL, same as the fire dispatch channel. That was years ago so my info may be outdated.

    Morris County Unlisted Channels?

Just because they aren’t listed on radio reference doesn’t mean that people don’t have alternative sources for information (as he very likely does). Radio reference submissions rely on those who chose to submit information from reliable sources or first-hand knowledge.

    NJ State Police

Turnpike is split up into 3 sectors (north, central, south). There are 3 dispatch talkgroups under the “toll road” category which list which talkgroups are for the turnpike. Program all 3 for listening, but make sure to load all 3 simulcast cells when you program your scanner.

    Cape May

Interesting tid-bit of info for anybody who cares or doesn’t know.....Cape May Point and West Cape May had a combined police department for a number of years before disbanding and utilizing Cape May PD. I think they had 1 full-time officer and a number of part-time/SLEOs, I believe they were...

    Cape May

Cape May Point is its own municipality, they have contracted services with Cape May City. How do you figure that it’s “actually Lower Township?”

Any idea if Garwood or Winfield Switching To NJICS?

Can you give any insight on what led to the current FD / EMS situation in Winfield?

    Fairview PD

Good stuff. I love hearing stories from East Bergen guys about how much their radio set-ups have changed in the last 20 years (low band years, PL changes, etc).

    Fairview PD

Self-dispatched, I’m 99% sure the county answers their 9-1-1s. Fire is still on Line 3. ADD: The rigs and medics call in on EBAA
