Almost everything is on Viper now. You will hear fire/ems dispatched on 155.52 but that is all. All other traffic will be on viper.

I have a Whistler 1040 and it works fine in Brunswick county. You need to have all towers programmed to work well in all of the county.

OK... I'm a dufus. I found my squelch to be too tight and maybe the County made an antenna adjustment too but I was squelcing out the tranmisisons from New Hanover County on 800 mhz trunking. There have been no changes.
