This German station (blast it, no umlauts...) has been reported active again - however, it appears not legally.
Manual Mendez in Spain wrote the station, and got a reply that SWR hasn't had a HF transmitter for several years. He further said that someone is rebroadcasting the station 'illegally', since SWR still holds the license for the frequency.
In other words we have a German pirate. It's a very plausible catch for East Coast listeners during our evenings.
This news came from a recent DX Listening Digest. Get 'em while you can, before the German authorities close the pirate down
