Sailmail frequencies

Sailmail is one of the many companies that handles email traffic on the high seas. They typically use PACTOR III or IV with Huffman compression and other techniques that make their traffic basically unreadable to anyone not using one of the high-end SCS modems (which has de-facto cornered this portion of the market). However the headers - which contain the station information - are usually readable (sometimes sent in PACTOR I or II) so you can actually know what shore station is involved.

Very interesting - pity the shore stations don't send an ID every so often - would be very handy propagation indicators world wide.
