Default Brief Opening 3/22

Had a brief opening on Wednesday 3/22 approximately 13:00hrs local time. All my hits were South Carolina Highway Patrol and all in the 42MHz range. I found it strange considering the Tropo map and Propagation map I follow showed no openings.

That's not strange. It was probably a sporadic E opening which has nothing to do with tropo or HF propagation.

Hopefully this is not off topic but looking at the 150.0 hz PL tones for mil vhf low band, will a uniden scanner pass voice traffic while programmed with a151.4 hz PL tone? Thanks.
