What sottware to host USB Dongle over IP?

Hi all, sorry if this is covered already, I did search, but I'm a tad tired this week.

I've just been bitten by the SDR bug. I have a cheap RTL2832U / R820T that I'm using with SDRsharp for now.
Looking seriously at getting a FunCube.

It works great on my notebook, but it's inconvenient antenna-wise. Since all of my scanners are in the basement and accessed renotely, I may as well do the SDR that way too.
I have 2 computers I could use, 1 Linux, 1 WinXP.
What software is best for sending the I and Q data via IP?

the linux shoud be the proper choice
this is for the RPI but sure it will give you a starting point
