HDSDR? dongles? Help

I have been downloading. Unzipping, etc... and have no clue what I am doing.

Is there a simple simple simple place to find out how to get HDSDR up and running with my new dongle?

I just cant figure it out.

I will add this much, from experience: don't waste your time if you're on anything lower than Win XP, although 98 with Kernelex looks like it may hold some marginal promise. I haven't tried it on Debian yet, so I can't comment on whether or not the device is usable in Linux.

This guy does a pretty decent walkthrough: https://youtube.com/watch?v=WZijmI3s4Ec. He actually uses Winblow$ 7 for the demonstration, but it really should be all the same regardless of which distribution you're using (except of course, for the glaring exception that is Win8.)

If need be, give me a couple days or so and I'll put together a ZIP file for you that has all the software and files you'll need in one common directory (the correct term is "directory", not "folder"; the files are no more "in" a directory than stores are in the Yellow Pages.) That way all you'll need to do is unpack that to your hard drive, then pick up at step #6 in the tutorial I linked above and work from there.
