sdr# and repeating it to another radio?

hello folks....i would like to be able to setup SDR# to be able to forward whats being recieved to a hand held radio the setup i got so far is SDR# ----> connected to a baofeng uvb5 via jack to jack cable into mic port on radio----->>and then onto a handheld programmed onto frequency ive set the baofeng uvb5 to VOX but for some reason when SDR# recieves anything the baofeng doesnt seem to hear anything .....is there anything im missing??? im using a standard jack to jack cable... (3.5mm) anyone?

Check Pinout

You need to do some research and find the exact pinout of the 3.5mm mic input on your radio. The standard 3.5mm stereo jack on your computer has a left, right, and ground pin and may not be in the locations your radio needs.

Once you know the pinout, you can cut off the pin on a cable and solder a radioshack one on connecting it according to your radio pinout. You may need to buy a mono (one channel) audio cable to do this instead of a stereo cable.
