Hi,

I have a Linux computer on a mountain top - with a 100kbit/sec (low latency) internet connection. I can only access the computer via SSH/Terminal - so no GUI.

I have a SDR (RTL) connected to the computer.. Is it any way to remote control the SDR and only stream the audio? I don´t need waterfall.

The perfect solution would be a software or web GUI I can use to remote control the SDR to change frequency/mode - and then stream the audio (20-40 kbit audio stream)

rtl_tcp running on the mountain would allow you to use a gui like SDR#. You could also use rtl_fm and a streaming application to pipe the audio, but you'd have to ssh commands every time you wanted to change the freq.

I'm sure there's some other creative ways to do it. Hopefully someone will post those.
