windows 10 creators update - Zadig

Just a heads up.
I installed windows 10 creators update and afterwards none of my SDR dongles would work.
I realized that the update deleted the required drivers.
I ran Zadig and re-installed the drivers.
All good now.

That has been a regular issue with Windows 10 for whatever reason. I have had to reinstall a dozen times since first upgrading to Win10Pro a couple of years ago.

I have never had to do a reinstall with any of the updates except this one.
This update also changed a few my sleep and other settings.
Quite irritating.

I haven't bothered to look, but I wonder if there is a workaround or script to keep those drivers intact.

I had the same experience as samsat, I had to re-Zagid my drivers and the RTL-SDR's work again.

So far I haven't been able to get my AirNav RadarBox to work again though. Technically I guess it is just an SDR with better filters and such...

win-10 update

My computer did an update and now HDSDR & SDR# programs wont work, Did the Zidiag thing
over and over no good. With HDSDR I get an "AUDIO OUTPUT ERROR" error box.
With SDR# I get "paUnantsipated..." error box. I think I have deleted the drivers but my computer skill is limited.
I went to device manager, usb, clicked on RTLSDR and uninstall device, unplugged,
plugged in and ran Zidiag and nothing with either program. Win 10 Home. Need Help!!

SpectrumSpy and ADSBSpy work, so the hardware is OK. (?)

There is an option to stop Windows 10 automatically updating your drivers.

Again, another heads up.
There was a major Windows 10 update in the last couple of days.
Your SDR drivers will have been deleted and need to be reinstalled and zadig re-run.
