Hello,
I am having troubles getting audio working with DSD. A few things about my setup and configuration first:
Lenovo T440 ThinkPad, Core i7 running Kali Linux Rolling x64
Realtek RTL2838
Alsamixer and Pulseaudio installed
GQRX and DSD built from source
I am trying to pipe audio from GQRX into DSD on known unencrypted P25 talk groups. I can see all the proper information being displayed in DSD including NAC, Radio ID, etc, etc... but there is no audio coming through. I do get audio directrly from GQRX but of course it is digital noise.
I have used a few Online examples to try this, including the one on this site with no luck.
* I have verified that the UDP is coming through port 7355 using netcat
* I have verified that audio is working for GQRX, I can listen to Analog channels with it
* I do not have /dev/audio or /dev/dsp as cited in many examples
* I cannot find any loopback device in my audio card
* I have many devices listed under /dev/snd and have tried them as substitutes with no luck
Why is P25 data coming through DSD but no audio? Is the audio sent via RTP stream instead? Do I require a loopback device?
Any help getting this working or at least where to start troubleshooting is greatly appreciated!
