I’m considering tapping my BC246T to go digital while mobile. I’m wondering if I tap the scanner do I still need 2 sources for UT? 1 Control and 1 Voice?
Then I could mount my handheld and see what I’m listening to while driving since I can’t do that with the laptop.
Currently I’m using a couple SDR dongles with my PC while mobile but they are choppy. Maybe that’s the rubber duckies I’m using inside my box van or maybe the dongles just aren’t good for mobile. I’m considering buying a 800mhz laird salt and pepper shaker and joining them with a splitter to the 2 dongles. But I’d like to try the 246 if I don’t need the 2 sources.
With all that being said. I’m open to suggestions from others on how you are mobile with SDR.
