Default Raspberry Pi software to listen to just one UHF frequency?

I am getting a little bogged down in my searches on the subject...

What I want to do is listen to one UHF frequency, our repeater output, on a Raspberry Pi. I would prefer to run a headless Pi Zero W using VNC and planned on using an RTL-SDR v3. I will be running Zello under Wine so I will be stuck using the GUI. I think that I can handle the Zello portion but need some suggestions on a reliable free program to do the tuning. I want to use stock Rasbian.

Any suggestions on an application that can do what I want without a lot of hassle setting it up?

If the frequency is known, is any reason why you can't use rtl_fm?

That looks like it will do the job. Thanks.

No probs. Info and commands here: Rtl_fm Guide: Updates for rtl_fm overhaul

i use rtl_fm with my pi to keep the "overheads" low.

If I ran across that one in my searches, it didn't make the "memorable list" for some odd reason. However, it should feed the repeater output over to Zello just fine. I want to be able to monitor the repeater in a password protected channel when I'm too far from it. It's a temporary solution.

https://github.com/szpajder/RTLSDR-Airband
decodes am/fm. multichannel, stream audio or save to mp3.
