In past visits to Myrtle Beach I have monitored the Coast Guard assist on rescues primarily on the VHF marine channels (usually 157.125). Can anyone confirm if they use the Coast Guard UHF frequencies also for rescue operations? I have never heard anything on these while in MB. Thanks! - Kel

Here is the channel plan I have and believe to be current:

SAR-1 345.0000
SAR-2 237.9000
WORK-1 326.1500
WORK-2 379.0500
AUX 143.2800
DISTRESS 156.8000
AIR>AIR 242.8000
ENFORCE 353.9000

All I ever heard from CG station Oak Island and Georgetown was on the usual VHF channels (16, 21, 22, 23). I was involved with ocean rescue just north of there in Brunswick County and that is what we used to communicate with the USCG.

That being said, it was ten years ago and I did not have the capability to RX any mil-air stuff.
