The new Palmetto P-25 system is now active in Anderson, SC. The control channel of 853.1625 has been online for several weeks. My BC-396 has confirmed it as system 1D9, site 162. However, no actual transmissions had been detected (at least not by me) until yesterday, Friday, February 20. At about 1:00 pm, encrypted talkgroup #4107 was monitored 6 or 7 times. Naturally, I could not determine who the talkgroup belongs to since it was encrypted. No other transmissions have been detected since.
