South Carolina Outdoor Enforcement Agencies Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference
Look for the Union Repeater (159.345/179.9 PL) - this is where you'll hear most of the coordination of units responding to the scene of a fire with their dispatch which IDs as "Piedmont." I hear units sign on in the mornings between 7am and 9am each weekday, and Piedmont signing off each weeknight around 9pm on this channel.
There are other repeaters in the upstate within earshot - Lesslie in York Co., Big Knob in Laurens Co., Glassy Mountain in Pickens Co., Corbin Mountain in Greenville Co. - that I have heard traffic on from Spartanburg. But it's not usually Spartanburg-related.
Also look for the 4 Piedmont-area channels:
159.420/88.5 PL - Piedmont Ops
159.450/88.5 PL - Piedmont Base
151.400/88.5 PL - Piedmont Tac A
151.460/88.5 PL - Piedmont Tac B
These 4 are simplex, so you have to be nearby to hear the mobile units. Any of these can be active on a fireground scene.
I have also heard 159.300/186.2 PL active with aircraft, but not often.
