The state of South Carolina run today there yearly test for a real hurricane. This was to test road reversal and traffic but mostly to conduct radio trials, with the statewide Palmetto System along the coastal region of the state. Numerous numbers of talk groups are used some new some old but plenty to be found when searching. i am compiling a list to share and anyone else please feel free to pass on any of your talkgroups used. All of my talkgroups will be from the northeast corner of the coastal region in Horry County. Please add to these and be able to compare from region to region what they are using.

Those talkgroups are within this database and on page 6 of the 2011 Upstate Scanner Frequency Directory. You may wish to post those you have. They should be: 39808-30832-30896-31024-32304-06864 and 11600 for your area.

Calvin -

Thanks for the list. I was actually in the Grand Strand area this past week and somehow missed any press releases that this exercise was taking place on June 7. I didn't hear enough radio traffic on that day to clue me in to the exercise in progress.

Can you clarify #10 on your list - is that a talkgroup or a phone number?

Also, you mentioned new, unlisted talkgroups that you monitored. Can you indicate which talkgroups those were?

Here's hoping that SC manages to escape any notable damage from storms again this season.
