700 mhz changing Jan 1?

Is something changing on Jan 1,? If so, is it for this area.... Georgetown, Charleston, Myrtle Beach? I read something about it but don't understand it. Anything we should know? Merry Christmas!! Robin and Marc

Jan.1st is the deadline to switch from wideband to narrow, this for VHF except Ham. uhf fro 470-512. they will be going from 25khz down to 12.5khz. That's all it is.
